Since graduating in 2015, Michaela has worked predominantly in the Canterbury district including with several medical teams.Her passion to pursue a career in podiatry began when she was a teenager. Having seen multiple sports specialists for various injuries, she was introduced to podiatry and experienced how a variety of treatments can improve a person's mobility, performance, and therefore their quality of life.Michaela has a particular interest in biomechanics and sports injuries, including musculoskeletal conditions affecting the paediatric client. She enjoys helping people get back on their feet so they can continue doing what they enjoy and reach their goals. Her expertise is not limited to biomechanics. She is experienced in treating skin and nail conditions, carrying out minor nail surgery and managing those with high-risk feet. With over 39 years of clinical experience, Kathryn has built a reputation as a leader in her field.For 14 years, she worked as a contractor for the Manukau Super Clinic, where she managed high-risk foot cases as a senior podiatrist. Kathryn was instrumental in the establishment of Australasia's first Rheumatology Podiatry Clinic. She holds a postgraduate qualification in wound management from Monash University, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development.Outside the clinic, she dedicates time to coordinating a community project focused on restoring coastal bushland at Leigh.Philip Ega

Philip graduated from AUT University in 2017 and spent his first three years working across private podiatry clinics in Christchurch before returning home to Auckland.He treats a wide range of patients and enjoys helping people of all ages stay active, comfortable, and pain-free. Philip cares for a broad range of foot and lower limb concerns - from children with growing feet, athletes recovering from injury, adults managing heel or arch pain, to older adults needing ongoing foot and nail care. His clinical expertise also includes orthotic prescription for improving comfort, function, and injury prevention. Having previously worked in an orthotics lab, Philip has developed a solid understanding of how orthotic devices are made and adjusted, helping him provide more accurate and practical orthotic recommendations. Whether it's foot pain, nail or skin problems or difficulty walking or standing for long periods, Philip focuses on understanding the cause of the problem and finding practical, lasting solutions that suit each person's lifestyle. Outside of podiatry, Philip also works in the electrical trade. His on-site trade experience gives him practical, first-hand insight into the demands tradies face on their feet every day.       Podiatrists are foot specialists who diagnosing, treat and prevent conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and lower limbs. This includes conditions which affect the skin, nails, muscles, joints, tendons, nerves and circulation, and movement of the foot.

      Yes, we offer specialised care for children’s feet and ankles. Paediatric podiatry is important for identifying and treating developmental issues early on, such as flat feet, gait abnormalities, and sports injuries. We focus on gentle treatments and preventative care for growing feet.

      We are an ACC-registered provider and currently hold an Allied Health Contract. If you have sustained a foot or ankle injury, you may be eligible for ACC cover. For ACC claims, we can lodge the claim on your behalf if you’ve had an accident. Please note the following for ACC appointments: · $65 surcharge for Initial Consultation · $50 surcharge for Follow Up Consultation If you have an active ACC claim, please bring your ACC claim number with you to your appointment. In some cases, orthotics and other products may be fully funded through ACC, depending on the nature of your injury and the treatment required. Your podiatrist can advise you.

      In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a podiatrist and can make an appointment directly with us. However, some insurance plans (such as Procare) require a referral from your GP for treatment to be covered. If you're unsure please don’t hesitate to contact us.

      Yes, we are an affiliated provider with Southern Cross. If you have Southern Cross Ultra Cover, you will likely be eligible for coverage. Other policies may differ. We can make the Easy Claim for you directly at the time of your appointment, so you don’t have to worry about submitting the claim yourself. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm if your policy includes Ultra Cover and is eligible for treatment coverage. Please bring your southern cross policy number with you.

      Yes, we can refer you for X-rays and ultrasound scans if necessary. We work closely with local imaging centres to ensure timely results for your diagnosis and treatment.

      Please bring the following to your appointment: · Any relevant insurance information (e.g., ACC45 claim number, and southern cross policy number if applicable) · Any medical records or reports that may help with diagnosis or treatment (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, specialist referrals) ·For your appointment with the Podiatrist, please bring a selection of your most frequently worn footwear. This is especially beneficial if you are booked for a biomechanical assessment · Shorts or leggings if you are booked for a biomechanical assessment

      We accept a variety of payment methods, including cash, credit card, and EFTPOS. For ACC claims, we will assist with the necessary paperwork and billing. If you have private health insurance, we can also process claims directly with your insurer where applicable. Payment is expected at the time of your appointment unless prior arrangements have been made.

      Our clinic is located at 92G Marua Road, Ellerslie, Auckland. To find us, turn onto Celtic Crescent, and you’ll see our building at 92G, we are the last building in the block of shops. There is ample free parking available right in front of the clinic, making it easy and convenient for you to park when you arrive.

      Yes, we design and prescribe orthotics tailored to your specific needs. Our team will assess your foot structure and gait to create a pair of orthotics that can help alleviate pain, improve function, and correct alignment issues.

      If you’re unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule.
